What Is A Fanlisting?
A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. (

Behind The Name
Since the grand opening of black jaguar fanlisting on Februrary 4, 2006, the website was given the title as
Sleek of the Night. The name didn't quite hit the sound. Corny and useless imagination, I know. At the time, I was frustrated with coming up names for this fanlisting. At the same time, I was in the rush. I wanted it done and over with. Not a good way to handle a fanlisting, I know.
The title
Sleek of the night refers to black jaguar's ability to glide in the darkness, becoming one with the shadow. Simple two words to describe the cat's ability, physique, and overall characteristic would've been enough. Not four words to merely describe, especially with two unnecessary, useless words stuck in the middle of the title. Nevertheless, I was happy with the fact that the fanlisting was done and the title didn't quite matter much to me. It was as long as it was running.
Over the pass few months, when I decided to update this fanlisting, I decided to give it a better name; a two words name or one would have been fine. After initial research through references and words, I've found that
Clandestine score a hit. Here is the definition;

Characterized by, done in, or executed with secrecy or concealment, esp. for purposes of subversion or deception; private or surreptitious.

Despite its obvious meaning, it did the black jaguar's justice. Secrecy or deception; it basically describe how black jaguars are. Wouldn't you think so?

This fanlisting is both approved and located at

Listed FLs, you will find several categories to choose from. From there, you click on
Animals and then
Mammals: Felines. Scroll down until you hit the
J for the generalization of Jaguars. There you will find
Jaguars: Black, which is exactly what this fanlisting is for.

Reasons Behind This Fanlisting
The reason why I chose to run this fanlisting is quite obvious; I love animals in general (with the exception of nasty bugs). Secondly, I found Black Jaguars to be unique and intrigued that so many people mistaken these wondrous creatures to be
panthers. I know I should say some more in this topic, but I fear that I will not be able to stop if I allow myself to elaborate a little bit more. But the simple truth is; I love black jaguars and I am glad to run this fanlisting.
